About us
A name that means rising up
"Talitha, koum" are the words a healer once spoke to a child who had lost hope — "little girl, get up." We took the name as our mission: to help children and families across rural Kilimanjaro get up, and stay up, against scarcity, poor infrastructure, and hardship.
Members of our community at Talitha Cum
Physical & spiritual wellbeing
Nourishment, healthcare access, and pastoral care that treat children as whole people, not just students.
Dignity in daily life
Clean water, sanitation, and safe classrooms — the everyday infrastructure that dignity depends on.
Community development
Long-term partnerships with local families, rather than short-term aid, so progress is held by the community itself.
